Planets in Aquarius

Aquarius is the 11th Sign of the Zodiac (also known as the Water Bearer), which tends to be very sensitive and can easily get hurt by criticism. You may be surrounded by lots of people, but actually you have very few good friends. If you stay grounded, you can be good at communications. You enjoy the company of people who are on the same wavelength. You are frank and avoid frequent changes, but when people try to take advantage of your nature, you can get quite upset. And when someone hurts or cheats you, you can nurture feelings of revenge for a long time. You prefer your personal life to be peaceful. You rarely get emotionally attached to your relationships. People get attracted by your wit and intelligence. You tend to learn fast. You are inquisitive and take interest in everything around you, which tends to divide your concentration.

At times, judging their real purpose can present a big problem. Some might consider you to be a very passive Sign, softly holding your grievances with much patience until you get a chance to pang back. However, the analogy apart, you have the ability to take risks and are more thrilled by what is concealed (secret) than what is obvious. Certainly, you’re not at all afraid to face big problems or challenges.

Astrology deals with ten planets, namely the Sun, the Moon (the two luminaries are considered planets in astrology), Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Minor celestial bodies, such as the Dark Moon, asteroids and the nodal axis, are also taken into account. Each planet has its precise function in the natal chart, and represents a specific energy. The planet’s action is influenced by the sign it tenants. It plays out primarily in the area of life indicated by the house where it is posited.

Aquarius Ruling Planet: Uranus (Saturn)

Uranus was the God and ruler of the sky. He was there to make sure that the rain fell to replenish the Earth. Uranus was also concerned with all humanitarian issues. He was the father of the Titans which he banned to Hades for causing terror and destructiveness on Earth. They rebelled and were quickly punished by Zeus, and sent back to the underworld. Uranus in Aquarius gives them sharp intellect and its emphasis on society and humanitarianism.

Saturn was known as the God of fertility and farming. The Romans celebrated Saturn in mid December to thank them for the harvest they received for the winter. This celebration was called Saturnalia where they exchanged fruits and gifts with one another and decorated their homes. Saturn in Aquarius is not as strong because their main planet is Uranus. Saturn gives Aquarians their wisdom, knowledge, and social structures. They also enjoy keeping their distance just like how Saturn likes to teach, much like a professor.

This sign is ruled by Uranus, bringer of the unpredictable and head of the department of one never knows. So as wild and crazy a planet as Uranus is, this sign, his envoy, is just about always ready to shock and amaze the masses and to rebel against whatever everyone else is doing. Planets in this sign are into their personal freedom. They insist on creating their own rules, fighting city hall whenever possible, and deliberately breaking tradition. They adore change, especially of the sudden kind. Abrupt reversals are their specialty, so others often perceive them as erratic, unstable, or unreliable energies. But as changeable as it seems to be, Aquarius is a fixed air sign. When it commits to a cause or to an intellectual ideal, it’s really committed. Aquarian planets are often much better at friendship than love—they value like-minded folk and need to be with kindred spirits to recharge.
